Romans 12:1-2
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Truth #1:

Surrender Begins with Offering Our Whole Lives to God

Discussion Points:

  1. Paul urges believers to present their bodies as living sacrifices in response to God’s mercy. (Romans 12:1)
  2. True worship involves surrendering every area of life to God’s authority. (Luke 9:23)
  3. God’s mercy motivates obedience far more effectively than guilt or obligation. (Ephesians 2:4–5)

Surrender Requires Rejecting the Patterns of the World

Surrender Leads to Transformation and God’s Best

  3. Renewed minds enable us to discern God’s good, pleasing, and perfect will. (Psalm 119:105)
